Another Great Year at Private Ear!

Happy New Year! A big thanks to everyone we had the privilege of work with this year!
It’s been another busy year that has seen some fantastic music made in our spaces. 2011 has seen some exciting new gear additions as well as completion of our second studio suite or “The Blue Room” which will be home to JP’s mixing endeavors as well as being a very capable tracking and overdub room. It features a hybrid mixing environment based on Pro Tools Hd Accel with Apogee Symphony converters and a plethora of great hardware and a nice variety of preamps including Aurora GTQ, True Systems, Avalon, and Thermonic Culture. The suite has been sonically “tuned” and features 3 monitoring options including a brand new pair of Thomas Barefoot MM27’s in addition to NS10m’s and Avantone active mix cubes. We have also seen upgrades to our mic locker including a set of Coles 4038’s and a Wunder Audio CM7gt. Studio A now has a massive set of DW collectors series Drums which is available for rental thanks to Brent Fitz.

Currently John Paul is in the final mixing stages for Royal Canoe’s brand new LP and EP. Neil is finishing up production for the Rock Ridge Pickers.
